Design Notes:
The SS Model is named after Sverre Strom who is one of our top professional surf paddlers. The board’s narrow nose, thin rails, straighter rocker, and light weight, make it very popular among those wanting a highly maneuverable, fast, down-the-line style of board that is easy to handle.

This board is great for recreational paddling and surfing. You will find it is right at home in oceans, rivers, lakes, streams, and harbors. The SS will give you a smooth fast glide across the water. Originally designed to be surfed, the SS is one of the fastest paddling boards we offer. The light weight and low volume of the SS make it very popular among women.

For you surfers, the SS allows you to surf hard and aggressively as you carve turns. The SS has great drive off the bottom, fast trim speed, great nose riding, and a solid yet loose feel. It likes to be ridden in a single standing position like a shortboard. However, the moderate width of the nose still allows for great noseriding. The SS loves to be ridden on waves from 1’ up to 15'

The SS Model is designed for all skill levels; from beginner through expert. The bottom shape has a vee-bottom running the full length of the board. It has a concave nose and double barrel concaves in the rear 1/3rd of the bottom. The vee helps the board resist the yawing from side. The benefit is you can paddle almost exclusively on one side of the board without switching hands with the paddle. The vee also allows you to rock the board over on one side or the other which makes turning a breeze. The double concaves accelerate the flow of water under the board maintaining a consistent glide through the water. The concaves also create the feeling of "squirt" when the board is ridden on waves.

The SS Models are available in any the standard colors shown with double black pinlines. The board comes with a factory installed deck pad, an air vent, a handle, a 7" fiberglass center fin, and a set of 4-1/2" Futures side fins.

Construction:
The SS boards are built right here in the USA. We use ultra light Expanded Poly Styrene (EPS) foam core material wrapped in premium grade fiberglass and epoxy resin. Optionally, you can order the SS boards with vacuum bagged carbon fiber. The SS boards are light weight with performance being the first priority. The boards come standard with a 10" center box and four side boxes. All our boards come with factory installed deck pad.
