Each board is proudly designed and produced in Southern California, which supports local craftsmen. CEO - Dave has been shaping surfboards for more than 40 years and is ranked among the top shapers in the world.

At the early age of fourteen, Dave was taught the art of surfboard building and shaping by his father; Jim Daum. In 1975 Dave became a production shaper with South Shore Manufacturing in Irvine California and was mentored by the late Jim Fuller.

Later, Dave served as a production shaper with Infinity Surfboards, Bronzed Aussies, Shroff, Mark Richards, Lightning Bolt, Downing Hawaii, and other fine surfboard companies.

In the mid-eighties, Dave pursued university degrees in business and engineering. Essentially, Dave exchanged his trusty Skil 100 planer for Computer-Aided-Design (CAD) software and became a fantastic three dimensional product and tool designer. While not completely absent from the world of surfboard building; Dave definitely dropped off the radar.

In early 2003, Dave became an active participant in the new and growing sport of Stand Up Paddling. At the time, Dave was not impressed by what people were riding and set out on a quest to build the ultimate wave riding Stand Up Paddle Boards (SUPS). Today, Dave is designing, shaping, and manufacturing the absolute best surfing SUPS in the world and his boards are being ridden around the world by the most discriminating and best SUP surfers.

Rhonda started surfing as a child. She became a Tandem Surfing Champion in the 70's. Happily married to Dave Daum for many years. Together they have traveled and surfed various places around the world. She currently spends most of her free time stand up paddle surfing. She loves introducing this new sport to women and spreading the stoke. Rhonda has assisted Dave in the operations of several successful business endeavors. Together they raised three wonderful daughters.
